What Are You Reading Right Now?

Did you ever have this massive reading slump? I am experiencing one right now, and it seems like the books I have already are rather so hard to read or not interesting.

Maybe it is because I have been reading so many articles for my research, it takes my appetite to read more once I am in my apartment.

I recently came across the most utterly beautiful book blog I have ever seen. The Stripte had written this helpful guide to get back into reading. The first recommendation was to start with something fun to read or something that you want to read for a long time. Therefore, I went to my local second-hand bookstore, because I did not have the money to buy a book that cost more than &10 and took a book that I wanted to read for a long time now, All Quite on the Western Front. I would admit, probably the book choice that I had made was not the easiest read per se, but I was searching for it and could not find it for a great amount of time, and once I saw it was on the shelve, my heart started to pound with the love of reading again. That was a dramatic description…

The second piece of advice I would like to be taking from her list is to build a to-be-read list—TBR for short—. There is a little thing that gives me such joy compared to the time I cross out a to-do. Oh sweet sweet warm feeling of completion. If you do not want to spend time writing down a list of books it is fine too! One of the lists that inspires me is the Rory Gilmore Reading Challenge. It has more than 100 books you can scan through and pick the ones you like.

So what are you reading right now? Are you having a hard time adapting to your new book?
